To close or not to close...

So, we are in the final countdown, waiting for a closing date and correspondingly a move date. Thankfully the bank is pushing to get it done this week, so hopefully they are a powerful enough force to make it happen. Fingers crossed, prayers said.

Anyway, the upper deck had to come down to be replaced with stairs. -sniff, sniff. But this is something that can be added later. All in all, we are looking forward to moving out from under the piles and piles of boxes and stuff at our current place. I'm also curious to experience life in a multiple storied home with a toddler. How exactly will the poop situation be handled when he leaves poopie droppings all over the place? Again, looking for anyone willing to help with potty-training. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? (crickets chirping)

Otherwise, the basement had to have a structural support put in and i think that is it. We are planning a few things at the outset to have done, but given our severely contracted time table, it might not quite happen as originally planned. We were going to have an electrician come in to update our outlets throughout the house and put in the wiring for an overhead light/ceiling fan in our bedroom, but that might not happen until after we are already installed in the house. I really can't complain. We are just happy to have this incredible home. Thank you God!

In terms of timing, perhaps this week or next, but all the same, it's happening very soon. I had always hoped to be in before Halloween in order to trick or treat in our new neighborhood, but it looks like that decision will come down to the wire. All I know is that we have to give away some of this ridiculous stash of candy i bought. Granted, most of the Reese's peanutbutter cups are gone as are the sweetarts, but other than that, the rest can go. Will keep you posted on how things turn out.
